What Are The Symptoms?
Symptoms include high fever, muscle pain, altered mental status, headaches, irritation of the meninges (linings of the brain), photophobia and seizures. Due to the virus’s effect on the brain, patients who survive can be left with mental and physical impairments, such as personality disorders, paralysis, seizures, and intellectual impairmen
Preventative Measures
Avoidance of mosquito bites.
Treatment
There is no specific treatment other than supportive measures.
