Curfew / Lockdown Restrictions and Relaxations
Guernsey entered phase 4 on 25 May, six weeks earlier than the proposed timeline since there were no more new cases across the island. During this phase, most businesses will be allowed to resume, including restaurants, hairdressers, and gyms from 30 May. However, they must follow the social distancing guidelines. The next phase will be announced later, based on the pandemic situation.
Social Distancing Restrictions and Relaxations
In phase 4:

People may go outside for four hours.

Gardening, building works, and other trades may resume under strict control.

Limited recreational activities are allowed with social distancing measures.

Recreational time has been expanded.

Libraries and museums may reopen.

Hotels, bars, and restaurants may provide takeaway services.

Places of worship may open only for private prayer and not for large scale congregation.

Funerals and weddings should not exceed the gatherings of more than ten people.

Non-essential retailers are being allowed to reopen on a pilot basis.
New relaxations under phase 4

All schools and other childcare facilities will resume.

Retail, hospitality, hairdressers, beauticians, and gyms may reopen with some restrictions.

Recreational time and range of activities will be increased further.

Gatherings up tp 30 will be allowed with social distancing and hygiene measures.

Businesses, excluding bars and nightclubs, can operate under increased hygiene measures.
The following relaxations may be introduced in future depending on the situation:
Phase 5: After eight consecutive weeks of phase 4, if no new cases are found, then:

Normal activities will be allowed, but travel restrictions outside of the Bailiwick will remain in place.

Bars and nightclubs may reopen.

Contact team sports may resume.

Children’s playgrounds may open.

Restrictions on public gatherings will be further relaxed.
Phase 6: After four weeks in phase 5, if no new infections are found, then this will be the final stage of the exit plan. If during four weeks of this phase, the number of new cases exceeds ten or any new clusters emerge, the restriction measures will move back to previous stages.
Travel Restrictions and Relaxations

The buses will operate at a reduced frequency from Monday to Friday due to a decrease in demand.

Services on Saturday and Sunday will operate normally.
