Many drugs are used to treat parasitic infections ( Thiabendazole, Pyrantel pamoate, Mebendazole, Praziquantel, Niclosamide, Bithionol, Oxamniquine, Metrifonate, Ivermectin, Albendazole, Benznidazole, Nifurtimox, Nitroimidazole). Some of these drugs may not be available in all countries. Treatment of malaria parasites require a separate, special group of anti-malaria drugs not listed here. Some of these drugs have significant toxicity and should be taken only under the direct care of physicians who specialize in the treatment of parasitic diseases
