5.3 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Ilocos Sur -Philippines

On 16 June, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology confirmed that a 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck Ilocos Sur around 14:08 hours. Tremors were felt in Vigan city and Sinait in Ilocos Sur, San Antonio in Zambales; Bolinao, Infanta and Dagupan City in Pangasinan; Pasuquin and Laoag City in Ilocos Norte; Itogon and Baguio city in Benguet. The institute has warned of possible aftershocks due to the earthquake.
