Deadly Attack on Bus in Western Ethiopia

Gunmen killed at least 34 people in an attack on a passenger bus in the Debate administrative area in western Ethiopia. Deadly violent attacks have increased in Benishangul-Gumuz, particularly in Metekel zone where Debate is located.

There was no known connection between the attacks in Benishangul-Gumuz and the Tigray conflict.
