Um golpe de Estado militar empurrou o Gab\u00e3o, pa\u00eds da \u00c1frica Central, para um estado de caos total. Um grupo de militares de alta patente tomou o poder na capital, Libreville, a 30 de agosto, minutos depois de terem sido anunciados os resultados das elei\u00e7\u00f5es presidenciais. O golpe de Estado destituiu o Presidente Ali Bongo Ondimba, cuja fam\u00edlia detinha o poder no pa\u00eds h\u00e1 quase 56 anos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O que \u00e9 que aconteceu?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

O Gab\u00e3o foi \u00e0s urnas em 26 de agosto e, de acordo com os resultados, Bongo foi reeleito para um terceiro mandato com cerca de dois ter\u00e7os dos votos. Os l\u00edderes do golpe, um grupo de soldados amotinados, discordaram dos resultados oficiais e apareceram na televis\u00e3o estatal anunciando a anula\u00e7\u00e3o dos resultados eleitorais. Segundo eles, este foi o primeiro passo dado para \"p\u00f4r fim ao atual regime\". A oposi\u00e7\u00e3o declarou igualmente, em 29 de agosto, que o seu candidato Albert Ondo Ossa tinha ganho e que tinha havido uma fraude generalizada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

P\u00f3s-declara\u00e7\u00e3o do golpe de Estado<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ap\u00f3s o an\u00fancio, centenas de pessoas sa\u00edram para as ruas de Libreville, celebrando e saudando o golpe. Em 30 de agosto, circularam na Internet v\u00eddeos da celebra\u00e7\u00e3o em que os cidad\u00e3os eram vistos a dan\u00e7ar e a gritar \"libertado!!!\" no bairro de Nzeng Ayong, em Libreville. Alguns v\u00eddeos mostravam tamb\u00e9m soldados carregando o l\u00edder do golpe, Brice Oligui Ngeuma, aos ombros, chamando-lhe \"presidente\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A raz\u00e3o subjacente a esta euforia pode ser as acusa\u00e7\u00f5es de fraude eleitoral e de corrup\u00e7\u00e3o de que Bongo foi alvo desde que se tornou Presidente do Gab\u00e3o, h\u00e1 mais de 14 anos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O futuro do Gab\u00e3o<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A seguir, as institui\u00e7\u00f5es do Estado foram dissolvidas, o que inclui \"o Governo, o Senado, a Assembleia Nacional, o Tribunal Constitucional, o Conselho Econ\u00f3mico, Social e Ambiental e o Centro Eleitoral do Gab\u00e3o\". De acordo com os meios de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o social estatais, Bongo est\u00e1 atualmente em pris\u00e3o domicili\u00e1ria, o seu filho est\u00e1 atr\u00e1s das grades e todas as fronteiras, bem como os escrit\u00f3rios do governo, est\u00e3o aparentemente encerrados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ainda h\u00e1 muito por determinar. Espera-se que os militares comecem por restabelecer temporariamente o Tribunal Constitucional e, gradualmente, os voos dom\u00e9sticos. As fronteiras nacionais tamb\u00e9m permanecer\u00e3o fechadas at\u00e9 nova ordem. Os canais internacionais de r\u00e1dio e televis\u00e3o retomar\u00e3o lentamente as suas emiss\u00f5es, de acordo com as ordens de Oligui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As suas ordens foram dadas no momento em que prestou juramento como presidente interino, a 4 de setembro, e prometeu \"elei\u00e7\u00f5es livres, transparentes e cred\u00edveis\", cujo calend\u00e1rio ainda n\u00e3o foi mencionado. Entretanto, v\u00e1rios l\u00edderes mundiais condenaram a a\u00e7\u00e3o dos militares e avisaram tamb\u00e9m os seus pr\u00f3prios cidad\u00e3os retidos no Gab\u00e3o para se manterem vigilantes e terem cuidado. Entre eles contam-se organiza\u00e7\u00f5es e institui\u00e7\u00f5es como a Uni\u00e3o Africana (mais de 55 Estados membros), a Comunidade Econ\u00f3mica dos Estados da \u00c1frica Central (CEEAC), as Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas, a Uni\u00e3o Europeia e pa\u00edses como os Estados Unidos, o Reino Unido, a Alemanha e a Espanha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al\u00e9m do Gab\u00e3o, s\u00f3 nos \u00faltimos tr\u00eas anos foram registados v\u00e1rios golpes de Estado em \u00c1frica. Muitos destes pa\u00edses s\u00e3o conhecidos por serem as antigas col\u00f3nias francesas do continente.
