Velen blijven in ernstige of kritieke toestand in het ziekenhuis opgenomen. Voor het eerst werd een nieuw geval vastgesteld in een provincie (de noordoostelijke Chinese provincie <strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">Shandong<\/strong>) buiten de oorspronkelijk getroffen gebieden van Shanghai, Peking, Anhui, Jiangsu, Henan en Zhejiang.<\/p>\n<p id=\"4628\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--figure\">Er is nog steeds <strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">geen overtuigend bewijs van verspreiding van persoon tot persoon.<\/strong> Telkens wanneer een nieuw geval werd gevonden, bleken al hun persoonlijke en familiecontacten gezond te zijn. Het blijft onduidelijk hoe ongeveer de helft van de gemelde gevallen besmet is geraakt. De andere helft had enig contact met pluimvee. Tienduizenden tests op pluimvee zijn echter bijna volledig negatief gebleken. De verblijfplaats van dit virus in de natuur blijft dus ook een mysterie, ondanks grootschalig onderzoek door Chinese en internationale deskundigen.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"7217\" class=\"graf graf--h4 graf-after--p\">Reizigers naar China<\/h4>\n<p id=\"2e02\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--h4\">De Wereldgezondheidsorganisatie heeft geen reisbeperkingen uitgevaardigd voor een bezoek aan China. Als u echter naar China gaat, moet u een paar dingen in gedachten houden:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"postList\">\n<li id=\"46f8\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--p\">Het risico om met dit virus besmet te raken is uiteraard <strong class=\"markup--strong markup--li-strong\">zeer, zeer laag<\/strong>. Tot nu toe zijn er slechts 105 bekende gevallen onder de miljoenen mensen in China.<\/li>\n<li id=\"8aad\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--li\">Er is geen risico aan het eten van <strong class=\"markup--strong markup--li-strong\">volledig gekookt<\/strong> kip of ander gevogelte. De hitte van grondig koken doodt zowel bacteri\u00ebn als virussen.<\/li>\n<li id=\"f75f\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--li\">Het zou verstandig zijn om <strong class=\"markup--strong markup--li-strong\">bezoek geen markten met levend pluimvee<\/strong> totdat de bron van dit virus volledig is opgehelderd.<\/li>\n<li id=\"488d\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--li graf--trailing\">De <strong class=\"markup--strong markup--li-strong\">gebruikelijke voorzorgsmaatregelen<\/strong> ter voorkoming van een algemene griepinfectie, zoals het frequent wassen van de handen en het bewaren van afstand tot iemand met een ademhalingsziekte, moeten het reeds geringe risico verminderen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nieuwe stam vogelgriep in China (H7N9) - Update Het aantal gevallen van de nieuwe vogelgriep H7N9 in China is opgelopen tot 105 met 20 doden.
