All arriving travellers without a pre-departure COVID-19 PCR test certificate will receive a rapid test and PCR swab at the airport when arriving in Liberia. If the rapid test result is negative, the traveller will be allowed entry and any symptoms will be monitored via USSD or the mobile app.

The Government of Liberia strongly encourages travellers to be tested 72 hours before arrival in Liberia. Those with a negative PCR test result will be allowed to enter. Passengers with symptoms will be monitored via USSD or the mobile app.

Before departure from Liberia, travellers need a negative COVID-19 test result and a travel certificate issued by the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL). Travellers must obtain this certificate at least 72 hours prior to departure. To apply, call the COVID-19 Hotline on 4455. This requirement could change without notice.
Is quarantine required on arrival?

If the rapid test result is positive, the traveller will be taken to a government quarantine facility until the PCR test report is available. If the PCR result is positive, the traveller must remain in government quarantine until there are two consecutive negative PCR test results. Quarantine could last for 14 days or longer.
