Un golpe militar sumi\u00f3 a la naci\u00f3n centroafricana de Gab\u00f3n en un estado de caos absoluto. Un grupo de militares de alto rango tom\u00f3 el poder en la capital, Libreville, el 30 de agosto, minutos despu\u00e9s de que se anunciaran los resultados de las elecciones presidenciales. La medida destituy\u00f3 al Presidente Ali Bongo Ondimba, cuya familia hab\u00eda detentado el poder de la naci\u00f3n durante casi 56 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 ha ocurrido?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Gab\u00f3n acudi\u00f3 a las urnas el 26 de agosto y, a trav\u00e9s de los resultados, Bongo fue reelegido para un tercer mandato con cerca de dos tercios de los votos. Los golpistas, un grupo de soldados amotinados, no estaban de acuerdo con los resultados oficiales y aparecieron en la televisi\u00f3n estatal anunciando la anulaci\u00f3n de los resultados electorales. Seg\u00fan ellos, se trataba del primer paso dado para \"poner fin al r\u00e9gimen actual\". La oposici\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n declar\u00f3 el 29 de agosto que su candidato, Albert Ondo Ossa, hab\u00eda ganado y que se hab\u00eda producido un fraude generalizado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los golpistas defendieron su maniobra mencionando que las elecciones \"no reun\u00edan las condiciones para un escrutinio transparente, cre\u00edble e inclusivo, tan esperado por el pueblo de Gab\u00f3n\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tras la declaraci\u00f3n del golpe<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Tras el anuncio, cientos de personas salieron a las calles de Libreville para celebrar y dar la bienvenida al golpe. El 30 de agosto circularon por Internet v\u00eddeos de su celebraci\u00f3n en los que se ve\u00eda a los ciudadanos bailando y gritando \"\u00a1\u00a1\u00a1Liberados!!!\" en el distrito de Nzeng Ayong de Libreville. Algunos v\u00eddeos tambi\u00e9n mostraban a soldados llevando a hombros al l\u00edder del golpe, Brice Oligui Ngeuma, llam\u00e1ndole \"presidente\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Una de las razones de esta euforia pueden ser las acusaciones de fraude electoral y corrupci\u00f3n que pesan sobre Bongo desde que se convirti\u00f3 en Presidente de Gab\u00f3n hace m\u00e1s de 14 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El futuro de Gab\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

En cuanto a lo que viene a continuaci\u00f3n, se han disuelto las instituciones del Estado, lo que incluye \"el Gobierno, el Senado, la Asamblea Nacional, el Tribunal Constitucional, el Consejo Econ\u00f3mico, Social y Medioambiental y el Centro Electoral Gabon\u00e9s\". Seg\u00fan los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n estatales, Bongo se encuentra actualmente bajo arresto domiciliario, su hijo est\u00e1 entre rejas y todas las fronteras y oficinas gubernamentales est\u00e1n aparentemente cerradas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A\u00fan quedan muchas cosas por determinar. En primer lugar se espera que los militares restablezcan temporalmente el Tribunal Constitucional y gradualmente los vuelos nacionales. Las fronteras nacionales tambi\u00e9n permanecer\u00e1n cerradas hasta nuevo aviso. Los canales internacionales de radio y televisi\u00f3n reanudar\u00e1n lentamente sus emisiones seg\u00fan las \u00f3rdenes de Oligui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sus \u00f3rdenes llegan mientras juraba como presidente interino el 4 de septiembre y promet\u00eda unas \"elecciones libres, transparentes y cre\u00edbles\", cuyo calendario a\u00fan no se ha mencionado. Sin embargo, siguen existiendo oscuridades sobre el futuro pr\u00f3ximo de Gab\u00f3n, ya que siguen sin respuesta muchas preguntas relacionadas con el liderazgo del pa\u00eds, las consecuencias del golpe para la reputaci\u00f3n mundial de la naci\u00f3n centroafricana y sus relaciones diplom\u00e1ticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Respuesta internacional<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Mientras tanto, varios l\u00edderes mundiales han condenado la acci\u00f3n de los militares y tambi\u00e9n han advertido a sus propios ciudadanos atrapados en Gab\u00f3n que se mantengan alerta y act\u00faen con precauci\u00f3n. Entre ellos figuran organizaciones e instituciones como la Uni\u00f3n Africana (m\u00e1s de 55 Estados miembros), la Comunidad Econ\u00f3mica de los Estados de \u00c1frica Central (CEEAC), las Naciones Unidas, la Uni\u00f3n Europea y pa\u00edses como Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Alemania y Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adem\u00e1s del de Gab\u00f3n, s\u00f3lo en los \u00faltimos tres a\u00f1os se han registrado m\u00faltiples golpes de Estado en \u00c1frica. Muchos de estos pa\u00edses son conocidos por ser antiguas colonias francesas del continente. Entre ellos est\u00e1n Burkina Faso, Chad, Guinea, Mal\u00ed, N\u00edger y T\u00fanez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
