Ein Milit\u00e4rputsch st\u00fcrzte das zentralafrikanische Land Gabun in ein totales Chaos. Eine Gruppe hochrangiger Milit\u00e4roffiziere \u00fcbernahm am 30. August die Macht in der Hauptstadt Libreville, nur wenige Minuten nach Bekanntgabe der Ergebnisse der Pr\u00e4sidentschaftswahlen. Damit wurde Pr\u00e4sident Ali Bongo Ondimba abgesetzt, dessen Familie seit fast 56 Jahren die Macht in dem Land innehatte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was ist passiert?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Am 26. August fanden in Gabun Wahlen statt, bei denen Bongo mit rund zwei Dritteln der Stimmen f\u00fcr eine dritte Amtszeit wiedergew\u00e4hlt wurde. Die Putschisten, eine Gruppe meuternder Soldaten, waren mit den offiziellen Ergebnissen nicht einverstanden und verk\u00fcndeten im staatlichen Fernsehen die Annullierung der Wahlergebnisse. Sie erkl\u00e4rten, dies sei der erste Schritt zur \"Beendigung des derzeitigen Regimes\". Auch die Opposition erkl\u00e4rte am 29. August, dass ihr Kandidat Albert Ondo Ossa gewonnen habe und dass es zu umfangreichen Manipulationen gekommen sei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Putschisten verteidigten ihren Schritt mit dem Hinweis, dass die Wahlen \"nicht die Bedingungen f\u00fcr einen transparenten, glaubw\u00fcrdigen und integrativen Wahlgang erf\u00fcllten, auf den das gabunische Volk so sehr gehofft hatte\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nach der Erkl\u00e4rung des Staatsstreichs<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Nach der Ank\u00fcndigung gingen Hunderte von Menschen in Libreville auf die Stra\u00dfe, um den Staatsstreich zu feiern und zu begr\u00fc\u00dfen. Am 30. August kursierten im Internet Videos von ihren Feierlichkeiten, auf denen die B\u00fcrger im Libreviller Stadtteil Nzeng Ayong tanzend und \"befreit!!\" rufend zu sehen waren. Auf einigen Videos waren auch Soldaten zu sehen, die den Anf\u00fchrer des Putsches, Brice Oligui Ngeuma, auf den Schultern trugen und ihn \"Pr\u00e4sident\" nannten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ein Grund f\u00fcr diese Euphorie k\u00f6nnten die Wahlbetrugs- und Korruptionsvorw\u00fcrfe sein, denen Bongo ausgesetzt war, seit er vor \u00fcber 14 Jahren Pr\u00e4sident von Gabun wurde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Zukunft Gabuns<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Als N\u00e4chstes wurden die staatlichen Institutionen aufgel\u00f6st, darunter \"die Regierung, der Senat, die Nationalversammlung, das Verfassungsgericht, der Wirtschafts-, Sozial- und Umweltrat und das gabunische Wahlzentrum\". Staatlichen Medien zufolge steht Bongo derzeit unter Hausarrest, sein Sohn sitzt hinter Gittern, alle Grenzen sowie die Regierungsb\u00fcros sind offenbar geschlossen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vieles ist noch unklar. Es wird erwartet, dass das Milit\u00e4r zun\u00e4chst das Verfassungsgericht und nach und nach die Inlandsfl\u00fcge wieder aufnehmen wird. Auch die Landesgrenzen bleiben bis auf Weiteres geschlossen. Die internationalen Radio- und Fernsehsender werden ihren Sendebetrieb auf Anweisung von Oligui langsam wieder aufnehmen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Er legte am 4. September den Amtseid als Interimspr\u00e4sident ab und versprach \"freie, transparente und glaubw\u00fcrdige Wahlen\", deren Zeitrahmen noch nicht genannt wurde. Die n\u00e4here Zukunft Gabuns ist jedoch nach wie vor ungewiss, da viele Fragen zur F\u00fchrung des Landes, zu den Folgen des Staatsstreichs f\u00fcr das weltweite Ansehen des zentralafrikanischen Landes und zu den diplomatischen Beziehungen unbeantwortet bleiben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Internationale Antwort<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In der Zwischenzeit haben mehrere Staats- und Regierungschefs der Welt das Vorgehen der Milit\u00e4rs verurteilt und auch ihre eigenen B\u00fcrger, die in Gabun festsitzen, zur Wachsamkeit und Vorsicht ermahnt. Dazu geh\u00f6ren Organisationen und Institutionen wie die Afrikanische Union (mit \u00fcber 55 Mitgliedstaaten), die Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft Zentralafrikanischer Staaten (ECCAS), die Vereinten Nationen, die Europ\u00e4ische Union und L\u00e4nder wie die Vereinigten Staaten, das Vereinigte K\u00f6nigreich, Deutschland und Spanien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neben Gabun wurden allein in den letzten drei Jahren mehrere Putsche in Afrika gemeldet. Viele dieser L\u00e4nder sind als ehemalige franz\u00f6sische Kolonien des Kontinents bekannt. Dazu geh\u00f6ren Burkina Faso, Tschad, Guinea, Mali, Niger und Tunesien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
