Smokehouse Creek Fire, som den hedder, str\u00e6kker sig over 1,1 millioner hektar n\u00e6r Amarillo og er nu Texas' st\u00f8rste og mest destruktive brand, og den rangerer som den st\u00f8rste naturbrand i USA i 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Placering og udstr\u00e6kning<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Branden, som begyndte omkring kl. 14.20 (lokal tid) den 26. februar, blev forv\u00e6rret af vind og h\u00f8je temperaturer og ramte det nord\u00f8stlige Texas panhandle og det vestlige Oklahoma. Pr. 4. marts har branden fort\u00e6ret omkring 1.076.638 hektar og er 15 procent indd\u00e6mmet. De resterende brande er Windy Deuce Fire i Moore County, som har br\u00e6ndt 144.206 acres og er 55% indd\u00e6mmet, Magenta Fire i Oldham County, som har fort\u00e6ret omkring 3.300 acres og er 85% indd\u00e6mmet, den nye Roughneck Fire i Hutchinson County, som har bredt sig til ca. 300 acres og er 25% indd\u00e6mmet, og Grape Vine Creek Fire i Grey County, som har br\u00e6ndt n\u00e6sten 35.000 acres og er 60% indd\u00e6mmet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"760\" height=\"428\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sitata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-2.png\" alt=\"Skovbrand i Texas\" class=\"wp-image-113466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sitata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-2.png 760w, https:\/\/www.sitata.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-2-480x270.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 760px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>P\u00e5virkning<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Myndighederne har udstedt en katastrofeerkl\u00e6ring for 60 amter. Brandbek\u00e6mpelsesressourcer fra flere instanser er blevet mobiliseret af staten for at indd\u00e6mme brandene og beskytte lokalsamfundene.
