The State of Israel<\/a> was born on May 14, 1948<\/a>, and is the only majorly Jewish populated country in the world. Israel is located on the eastern coastline of the Mediterranean Sea and is bordered by Cyprus (maritime border), Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and the Palestinian territories of the West Bank<\/a> and the Gaza Strip<\/a>.
