The 18th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit will be held in the vibrant city of New Delhi, India, on 9 and 10 September. The summit will be held at the Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition and Convention Centre in Pragati Maidan.
The G20, or Group of Twenty, is an international forum for the world’s twenty largest economies. It was established in 1999 to promote international economic cooperation and stability. Its members account for nearly two-thirds of the world’s population, over 75% of global trade, and approximately 85% of the world’s GDP. The summit is the highest-level meeting of the G20, and it is attended by the heads of state or government of the member countries.
Among those expected to arrive are US President Joe Biden, UK PM Rishi Sunak, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, Japanese PM Fumio Kishida, and Saudi Arabian King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The leaders are expected to address a number of issues involving the global economy, climate change, terrorism, energy security, and digitalization. Apart from these wider themes, the forum is expected to discuss ways to address the supply chain crisis exacerbated by the ongoing belligerency between Ukraine and Russia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
